Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website chefnikotests.com and the personal app called Markoni Assistant. Both are run by Nikolay Markovski, Guildford, United Kingdom (contact: markoni7650@gmail.com).

1. This website

This website is a simple information page. It does not ask you to create an account, and it does not run advertising or tracking scripts of its own. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. Links to Amazon and to social networks are affiliate or outside links; those sites have their own privacy policies.

2. Markoni Assistant and Google user data

Markoni Assistant is a personal, single-user app. The only person whose Google account it connects to is its owner. It is not available to the public.

What Google data the app accesses

• Google Calendar (scope calendar.events): event titles, dates, times and locations on the owner's calendar, so the assistant can tell him what is coming up and add, move or remove events at his request.
• Gmail (scope gmail.readonly): the sender, subject and text of the owner's own messages, so the assistant can tell him what has arrived. The app cannot send, reply, delete or draft email. Messages about pay, banking and passwords are blocked from being read by the app.

How the data is used

Google data is used only to answer the owner's own requests and to provide the features described above. Calendar changes are made only after the owner gives an explicit confirmation of a read-back of the change.

Storage and processing

• The app runs on the owner's own computer. Google access tokens are stored in that computer's macOS Keychain. Email and calendar content is not stored in a separate database.
• To produce an answer, the text of the relevant calendar events or messages is sent for processing to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) together with the owner's request, and spoken replies are generated by a text-to-speech service (Microsoft Azure). Those providers process the text only to return the result.
• A short running history of the conversation is kept on the owner's computer so the assistant can follow the conversation.

Sharing and retention

Google user data is not sold, not shared with other people or companies, and not used for advertising. It is not used to train AI models. No person other than the owner reads it. The owner can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can delete the local history from his own computer.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Markoni Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
