Markoni Assistant
Markoni Assistant is a personal voice assistant built and used by one person: Nikolay Markovski, the owner of this website. It is not a public service and it is not offered to other users.
What the app does
The owner talks to the assistant by voice or by text, and it helps with his own day-to-day tasks:
- Google Calendar: reads his own calendar events, and adds, moves or removes an event only after he has said an explicit yes to a clear read-back of the change.
- Gmail (read only): searches and reads his own messages so it can tell him what has arrived. It cannot send, reply, delete or draft anything. Messages about pay, banking and passwords are blocked from being read.
- Notes and reminders: keeps short notes and sends him reminders.
Why it asks for Google access
The app requests two permissions on the owner's own Google account: view and edit events on his calendar (calendar.events) and read-only access to his email (gmail.readonly). These are used only to answer the owner's own requests, and only while he is using the assistant.
The assistant runs on the owner's own computer. Access tokens are kept in that computer's secure keychain. Google data is not sold, not shared with anyone, and not used for advertising. See the privacy policy for the full details.
